Sweater Shop

Sweater Shop

The Sweater Shop was founded in 1986. It was founded by Dom Byrne and his sister Breege Ward with our 1st store on Wicklow Street in the heart of Dublin city. The mandate centered around 3 core principles. Providing QUALITY Irish knits, with a great SELECTION at unrivaled VALUE. The store became a huge favourite for Irish customers and tourists alike. The mix of timeless, classic Aran sweaters and new, vibrant colours and styles meant that The Sweater Shop appealed to the masses. Soon, The Sweater Shop was expanding to all parts of Ireland, and before too long the list of Irish counties we operated from included Kilkenny, Galway, Donegal, Kerry & Limerick. In Time Dom's Son, Paul, Daughter Laura & Daughters-in-Law, Kate & Eileen-Louise all became part of the this family business.
